Mr. Matern is a registered professional engineer with over thirty-four years of experience in the design, construction management and analysis of electrical systems. He has designed systems for numerous projects exceeding $4 billion in total construction cost. Mr. Matern is accountable for all major project coordination from design to construction implementation. He is directly responsible for all facets of electrical engineering which include power, lighting, communications systems, security systems, controls systems, lightning and surge protection, instrumentation, energy management, cost estimating and specifications. |

Adrian Baus, P.E., LEED AP, RCDD, QCxP- Vice President
Director of Engineering - Registered Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer,
and Fire Protection Engineer / Technology Engineer
Mr. Baus has over 21 years experience in construction and engineering, encompassing practical field experience as well as design expertise, that he has gained through performance on over 200 education projects. His extensive knowledge and on the job experience has led him to play a major role in the Education Division of MPE. Mr. Baus is a registered electrical, mechanical and fire protection engineer and he is an expert in renovation and new construction, concentrating in electrical, power, lighting, communication systems, security systems, lightning and surge protection, energy management, technology, cost estimating, and construction administration. Mr. Baus is also a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). |

Ryan Strandquest, LEED AP - Vice President / Energy Specialist
Director of Education Division - Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Strandquest has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida and he is a LEED Accredited Professional. Ryan brings with him over thirteen year’s experience in Mechanical Engineering and Project Management. Ryan is currently a Vice President and the Head of the Education Division for Matern Professional Engineering, Inc. Ryan’s overall responsibilities include project management, quality control, design, specifications, scheduling, and technical support for mechanical and plumbing systems design. He has a wide range of experience in hotels and resorts, commercial applications, central energy plants, as well as K-12 and University experience. Ryan specializes in Central Energy Plants and Energy Saving Concepts. He has coordinated over $1,500,000 in rebates through FP&L’s and Progress Energy’s rebate program for Orange County, Seminole County, and Lake County School Districts alone.

K. Todd Griffith, PE, LEED AP BD+C - Director of Ft. Myers Office
Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer - Commissioning Agent
Mr. Griffith is a registered Professional Engineer with over fourteen years experience in Construction and Engineering. He has practical field experience as well as design expertise and has been solving mechanical issues in the field for years. Todd is experienced in renovation as well as new construction. His resume includes an extensive list of commercial work, education facilities, and religious sanctuaries. His knowledge and understanding of HVAC engineering is remarkable, as is his attention to detail in design and project management. In addition, Todd has completed a 40 hour course at the University of Wisconsin entitled “The Commissioning Process in Practice”. He is a professional member of the Building Commissioning Association and is prepared to perform any assessments, studies or comparisons needed to make a successful project. |

Bradley Perrott, PE, LEED AP - Director of Commercial/Government
Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer Mr. Perrott brings with him over eight years experience in Mechanical Engineering and Project Management. Mr. Perrott’s overall responsibilities include project management, design, specifications, overseeing department workload, training, QA/QC and technical support for HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) systems. He has in-depth knowledge in educational, commercial, correctional, and public safety projects. He has worked as Project Manager on numerous government facilities including Sumter County Detention Center Expansion, Volusia County Consolidated Dispatch/ Emergency Operations Center, and the Consolidated Brig at Goose Creek, SC Naval Weapons Station. Mr. Perrott is a LEED Accredited Professional and oversees MPE’s energy modeling process for energy studies and LEED projects. He is also an active member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers). He is involved with Summit Church in Orlando, FL and donates his spare time serving with them. |

Erik brings with him over 17 years experience in Healthcare & Commercial design, coordination and project management for small complex projects to multi-million dollar projects in the Healthcare, Science and Technology markets. With over 12 years experience with AHCA, Erik is extremely knowledgeable with the special design considerations for healthcare facilities and the staff who work in them. He is known for his attention to detail, budget conciousness and hands-on management style. |
