George W. Marks Elementary School

Matern provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection professional engineering design services to replace George Marks Elementary School for Volusia County Schools. The new school was constructed on the existing campus and includes a 21st Century learning environment. 

The new two-story 41,856 SF tilt wall building was constructed on the existing campus and incorporated 850 student stations. The project also included renovating three existing classroom buildings, and new parking lots, demolishing the existing on-site portable city and constructing a new playfield/pavilion.
